Learners will develop a variety of skills through educational visits, classroom learning and practical workshop sessions. Learners will be encouraged to grow fully as individuals and develop excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will study for one year on a full time programme before progressing onto the next level, depending upon your grades and attendance, into a sponsored Cadetship with a shipping company.

The Pre-Cadetship has taught me a range of skills including the knowledge of tools and engineering equipment that’s available. I have always wanted to travel and see the world and by developing as wide skill-set, I was able to secure sponsorship, which is a testament to the help and support from the staff at the Marine School.
