Our outstanding, safe and secure halls of residence are conveniently located on campus. They are available from just £420 per month, including WiFi, utilities, a gym membership and onsite parking. The halls offer 24/7 staff advice and support, and have short contracts available. Please be aware that we now only accept accommodation bookings for stays of 12 weeks or longer.
Important Information About Student Accommodation and Campus Developments
Tyne Coast College and South Shields Marine School are preparing for an exciting new future. As part of these developments, Dr Winterbottom Halls of Residence will close in early 2027, ahead of the move to our new student accommodation at 1 Harton Quay on the River Tyne. The College will also relocate to its new campus in South Shields town centre, providing enhanced facilities for learning, support and student life. We remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition for students and parents and will continue to share updates as plans progress.

OTHER OPTIONS
We also support our students in finding offsite accommodation, and there is plenty available nearby. If you’re staying for a short time, there are a variety of hotels, or if you’d like to get more settled you can find a flat or house.
