This course satisfies the requirements laid out in the MNTB TANKER TRAINING COURSES CRITERIA – 1st Edition Published April 2015.
The course meets the regulatory requirements of Tables A-V/1-1, basic training for masters, officers and ratings in oil and chemical tanker cargo operations, and A-V/1-2, basic training for masters, officers and ratings in liquefied gas tanker cargo operations, of the Annex to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), 1978.
Candidates MUST complete the 5 hour Tanker Fire Fighting course before attending this course.
The course runs over three days where 100% attendance and participation in time-tabled lectures during that period is required.
The course is for candidates NOT enrolled on an MNTB approved officer cadet programme, who have completed the tanker firefighting course prior to attending.
