On Friday 24th April, our shipping company representatives and our management team had a guided tour of the construction of our new build college in South Shields town centre.

This visit gave our representatives a chance to see the progress we’ve made with our relocation, envisioning the future of South Shields Marine School and where their next generation of Cadets will be studying.

The tour included a look at the octagon-shaped space where our new Simulator will be, as well as the progress of our new Marine Engineering Workshops, and even onto the roof where a trained hawk is in residence to deter damage and nesting on the roof!
